Glebe looking for aSTUTE performance

Scott’s charges are on a poor run of form at present but three points against the North West outfit at the Riada Stadium would go a long way to aiding Glebe’s bid for survival and another ‘Great Escape’.

“We’re probably not even thinking that deeply about it to be honest, all we are going to do is deal with the next game,” Scott revealed.

“I think we have sold ourselves short as a group and I take responsibility for that.

“People have said to me that all we’re missing is a bit of luck.

“Well, the mother of good luck is good attitude, we have that attitude.

“We’ll also not be relying on luck, we have desire to play good football and it’s time for us to resume our focus.

“I have total faith in my own ability and the same goes for my players as well.

“I have to say I am relishing the challenge we have ahead of us from now until the end of the season.”

Last time out Glebe crashed out of the Intermediate Cup to Amateur League side Albert Foundry.

Scott wants his players to now channel their energy towards hauling themselves off the foot of the table.

“I am bitterly disappointed to have gone out of the Steel and Sons and Intermediate cups in similar circumstances,” he said.

“However this is a measure of me as a manager because when things go well it’s easy to sit back and take plaudits.

“This is where I earn my reputation and I am in a situation where I can show what I am about and the same goes for my players too.

“At this moment we are preparing for a league game against Institute.

“I know Alan Blair well, who is looking after things up there. He is a good man and an Institute man through and through.”
