Greacen to have another knee operation

The centre-back has to undergo another operation on his left knee after he suffered a recurrence of the problem during the Europa League first leg tie in Trabzonspor and boss Declan Devine confirmed he might return towards the end of the campaign.

“Stewart is going to need another operation,” stated the City gaffer.

“He needs a clean out on his knee again, he came back played two or three games but his knee was giving him a lot of problems.

“It’s another disappointment to the boy and a disappointment for us because we could certainly be doing with his leadership at the minute and his experience, but that’s the nature of it.

“I would imagine Stewart will be back the last week or two of the season, anything before that will be a bonus.”
