Hawe and Uprichard informed club officials last night (Monday) of the decision and will not attend tonight’s training.

Hawe, who recently secured his UEFA B Licence required to manage in the Championship, felt the pair had “taken the club as far as possible”.

“We feel we have taken the club as far as possible,” said Hawe. “We had a long-term plan in place for the club, including the step of bringing in Alex Clifford to run the under 20s.

“We have had a few young players on the bench and wanted to develop that side of the club as well as the firsts.

“We have told the players to stay on as Loughgall is a fantastic club and our thanks go to people like Noel Willis and John McCann for support since our arrival.”

Loughgall face Annagh United on Saturday at Lakeview Park aiming to improve on a run of six league games without victory.

Both Hawe and Uprichard joined Loughgall in January 2015 as part of Noel Mitchell’s coaching team before going on to share the managerial role. Hawe was handed sole control this season following completion of his UEFA B Licence.
