It took all off two minutes for Street to break the deadlock through the impressive Kyle Cousins and shortly after, Dwayne Kerr connected with a cross to head home a second.

Before the away team had roused themselves it was three, Steven Lawson this time with a fine strike.

St. Matthew’s got themselves settled and managed to get back into the game when they caught Street on the counter attack and made it 3-1 but it wasn’t for long before Lawson grabbed his second to send Hill Street in at half time looking comfortable at 4-1.

The second half was as fast as the first with Street picking up where they left off. It was five when Cousins slid home with ease before completing his hat-trick with a neat finish to make it six. And it was soon seven when a well taken corner was met by Adam Harrison who came charging into fire it over the line.

To St. Matthew’s credit they kept trying to play football and managed to grab another goal thanks to some sloppy defending from Street but Lawson then grabbed his hat-trick goal to make it eight.

There was still time for Lawson to finish off another move for his fourth and Hill Street’s ninth of the game to seal their passage into the next round.

The Sean Graham’s man of the match went to Kyle Cousins.

Hill Street would like to thank ‘Wilderness Flower and Garden Centre’ for their match day sponsorship.
