Hill takes over at Comrades

Ballyclare Comrades have confirmed Eddie Hill as their new manager following the departure of Gordon Chambers on Monday evening.

Hill, who has played over 200 games and scored 57 goals for his hometown club, was appointed as Chambers’ assistant in the summer and now takes over in the Dixon Park hot-seat. The diminutive striker - a firm fans’ favourite - should prove a popular choice as boss. At just 34 it’s his first job in management but it’s one he’s relishing.

“It’s definitely something I’ve wanted to do,” Hill told the Newtownabbey Times. “The the next step for me in football is management and where better than Ballyclare?”
