Hillsborough hit Carrick for six

Hillsborough Boys 6 Carrick Rangers 2

The performance by Hillsborough Boys last Saturday was probably the best they have performed by a long way.

Each and every one of the players can be immensely proud of their achievements even at this very early stage of the season.

They put Carrick on the back foot right from the start. The tempo of their game was frightening and it didn’t matter who the opposition would have been on Saturday, no one would have lived with the Hillsborough boys.

The midfield were winning their personal battles as well as creating when need be, and of course the back four are beginning to get that understanding with each other which of course is essential for any back line.

The goals on Saturday morning came from Bobby Robinson, Josh Mckee [2], Andy Latimer, Mustafa Elbagir and Jack Bradford, all well worked goals which had everything.

So it’s on to the next game and Shankill Juniors who have made a good start to the season winning their 5 games but if any team can bring that run to an end it’s the champions.
