The Wakehurst side won the Jimmy Dubois Non-Senior Team of the Year award at Monday night’s Northern Ireland Football Writers’ Association awards.

Manager Robert Duddy and chairman Mervyn Barr collected the award at the function, held at Belfast City Hall.

It follows a remarkable campaign in which the Homers won the Toals County Antrim Junior Shield for the first time in the club’s history and followed that up by winning the coveted Irish Junior Cup for the third season in succession.

Homers received the judges’ vote ahead of Ards and Newry City, who were also short-listed in their category.
