Queens came with a positive attitude and played very good football from the back although it was Dollingstown

who had the better of the first half although neither keeper was tested too much during the opening 45 minutes.

It was Dollingstown who gained the initial advantage when they went in front on 20 minutes through recent signing

Chris Kingsberry with his first goal for the club. It was quite a simple goal following route one football as Ritchie Thompson headed on and Chris had a straight run through against the keeper and calmly slotted the ball into the corner of the net.

Dollingstown then created a few more chances mainly through the hard running of Thompson but none of his striking partners were able to capitalise and they went in 1-0 up at half time.

At the start of the second half Queens signalled there intent and a great header was saved by McKinstry in the Dollingstown goals.

However a minute later from a corner on the right Queens got a deserved equaliser when centre half Matt McManus headed home on 49 minutes.

Queens then dominated the game with a great willingness to close down the opposition all over the pitch although on the hour mark Dollingstown had a wonderful chance to go in front when a break down the right by Kingsberry and Thompson found Adam

Walker free in front of goal but he fired high and wide when he really should have made the keeper work.

Dan Culbert then fired wide for Queens after he broke from midfield and his long throws and free kicks into the penalty area created much havoc in the home defence.

Centre forward Owen Beggs for Queens almost snatched a winner following a mix up between Moffett and the keeper but his attempt went just outside the post.

The game ended all square with both sides sitting comfortably in mid table position.

Dollingstown would like to thank Kenneth Wells body repairs for kindly sponsoring the match.

This Saturday Dollingstown are away to Moyola Park.
