The Swifts defeated Glenavon 2-0 when they last came to Lurgan on August 16 and then completed the double over the Lurgan Blues a few weeks ago 2-1 at Stangmore Park.

Manager Gary Hamilton returns to duty after his two match suspension and is likely to start as striker Kevin Braniff is suspended. Also serving bans are Gareth McKeown and Andy McGrory.

If Glenavon manage to score the first goal it will be an achievement - they have given the Swifts the lead in the last ten meetings.

“It’s a fixture we need a performance in because we’ve underperformed this season against them,” said coach Nigel Law. “After such a good performance at Portadown we must use it as a tool to go and get better for the rest of the season.”

Officials for the game are: referee Tim Marshall, David Anderson and Stephen McCready with Eddie Ferguson the fourth official.
