How the local clubs fared in the league last season

How did the clubs fare in the South Antrim League and what should they change next year. A light hearted look by Harry Allen.

GLASTON: top of the class, worked hard, but must continue to work at it next season.

BALLYMACASH YM: had a good year but can do better and they must aim at this next year.

SPORTING LISBURN: need to be a little more consistent but they did do well. Perhaps, a little more bite next year.

LAMBEG RANGERS: found it difficult at times but with more resources and a concerted effort could do better.

BRANIEL YM: appeared to do well in other circles but may need to concentrate their focus on local sources.

SANDY ROW: new boys in the class this year and did well but can they push themselves that little further.

BALLYNAFEIGH YM: can do better, maybe a new influx of talent may make a difference.

BLOOMFIELD III: certainly improved their performance from previous year. Can they keep on improving?

BELVOIR FC: went missing just a little during the year but showed late promise and can do better.

LAMBEG STAR: started the year with high hopes but disappointed and will have to prepare for next year.

FIRST LISBURN: was too much expected from the boys who moved up a class? Changes next year may make a difference.

VICTORIA ATHLETIC: found the experience a new learning curve. Will be more prepared, hopefully, next year.

WARREN YM: a really good year but can they do even better next time? They can improve things at the club for the challenge ahead.

ORANGEFIELD OB III: they did really well this time but will have to do even better next year.

FC UTD LISBURN: a new experience this year and they tackled it well. New challenges ahead next year.

SOUTH ANTRIM: .not too bad a year but they can do better. Hoping for more from them next year.

SPORTING LISBURN II: performed as well as expected and will look forward to continuing progress.

BALLYMACASH YM II: an up and down sort of performance but with more concentration can do better.

GLENAVY III: did everything which was expected from them and improved as the year went on. LISBURN RANGERS III: finished the year quite well but showed a little inconsistency. LISBURN ATHLETIC: not a bad year for the new boys, but will have to give a little more next year. CREGAGH WANDERERS: started poorly but improved when moved to their level. Surprised some towards the end of the year and will have hopes for next time. BELVOIR FC II: disappointed at times and were inconsistent, but can do better next year.
