The Brandywell men, who had seven changes to their side which saw off Sligo Rovers last Friday night, were disappointing throughout and fell a goal behind after just 13 seconds following a mistake by debut boy Shay Dunlop, he gave away possession to Patrick Hoban who in turn feed Darren Meenan and he calmly finished past Ciaran Gallagher.

Worst was too follow for the visitors as Kurtis Byrne and Dane Massey netted just before the break, while Patrick Hoban and Brian Gartland scored in the second half.

After the game Peter Hutton spoke to Sentinel Sport’s Editor Kevin McLaughlin were he stated that he stood by his team selection.
