Injuries mount up as Rangers visit

INJURY hit Institute host third from bottom Glebe Rangers this Saturday, knowing a victory could move them up into sixth place in the Ladbrokes.com Championship One.

However the Waterside men have only two fit defenders in their squad in Graham Crown and Ryan Browne, with winger's Ryan Semple and Eddie McIntyre expected to play in the full-back positions.

Nevertheless boss John Gregg is hoping whatever side he selects or whatever formation he starts with that they'll still be capable enough of getting a positive result and Joe McCready is likely to return to the starting line-up.

"I left Joe out because he hasn't been working and hasn't been doing it like everyone else," he said.

"We were poor in the first half against Ballyclare and we weren't doing the basics, winning the second balls and I think we were poor.

"I was very disappointed with the goal we conceded on Saturday, because I told the team if you keep a clean-sheet they would have went on and won the game," he said.

"We need to start getting it right at the back, on Saturday our two centre-halves were left exposed. Maybe because we had two wingers playing in the full-back positions, but either way we need to stop conceding poor goals."

Glebe go into the game after narrowly going down 2-1 to champions and league leaders Loughgall and because of that the Coleraine man is expecting a tough encounter this weekend.

"They aren't a bad side and I have watched them against Coleraine, and they were unlucky that day. They are a young side who work hard for each other, in fact they are very similar to Ballyclare in terms of work-rate and I felt Ballyclare out-muscled us on Saturday.

"By all accounts they were unlucky against Loughgall, in fact Loughgall's winner came late on, so they must have played well and because of that they'll come into our game looking to get a result.

"But we are unbeaten in our last four matches and I want us to try and keep that momentum going."
