Institute appoint Kevin Deery as new manager

Championship side Institute have appointed former Derry City skipper Kevin Deery as their new manager.

Deery, who has one year of management behind him, led Intermediate side Trojans to an unbeaten season, which saw them complete an impressive treble.

He has appointed last season’s captain at Drumahoe Paddy McLaughlin as his assistant manager.

The 30-year-old had a glittering playing career with the Candystripes winning FAI and League Cups before moving into the management side of the game last season.
