The Cork man has been made available to other clubs by mutual consent following talks with Stephen Baxter.

“I haven’t played as much as I would have liked and it has been very frustrating. It reaches the stage where you don’t really feel part of things,” said O’Flynn, whose six league appearances this season have all come from the bench.

“I spoke with Stephen (Baxter) on Tuesday and he understands how I feel. There is no acrimony and our conversations have been very amicable. I’m 33 now and I’m at the stage of my career where I need regular game time. It’s not about the money for me.

“I still believe I have a couple of very good years left and I just want to get back playing again.”
