The Waterside men, who have conceded eight goals in their last two games at Coleraine and Portadown, sit three points above Whitey Anderson’s side.

People will be saying this week that it’s a six pointer, but you can only win three points, however in saying that if you want to stay ahead of the teams around the bottom end of the table, you have to beat them,” he stated.

“Because of that it brings extra significants to the game and then obviously we are at home, so we’ll have to give it our best, but it’s a game we are capable of winning if we have everybody at the top of their game.”

Mark Scoltock and Aaron Walsh are back from suspension, but Paddy McLaughlin remains doubtful with an ankle injury and Stephen Curry is still missing.

“I wouldn’t think that Paddy will be back, we’ll have to see at training this week, but he hasn’t trained at all since he picked up the injury at Linfield.”

Kee also confirmed that the fear factor is starting to get to his side.

“There is a bit of fear which has crept into our squad and you can see it and my concern at Portadown was to get our confidence levels back up and also getting a performance level up.

“Now the performance level was up compared to the Coleraine game, because we were more than a match for Portadown for large parts on Saturday.

“If we play at a similar level then we have a chance of getting a result against Ballinamallard United.”

The Drumahoe man also wants his team to tighten up at the back, as they are starting to concede too many goals.

“It’s worrying that we are conceding so many goals,” he added.

“I know it sounds silly but I thought in general terms that we defended not too bad at Portadown and it was errors that cost us.

“But in saying that we had chances at crucial times in the game, with (Cormac) Burke in particular, firing over, while Robbie Hume had a few shots which (David) Miskelly saved and that was the difference.

“They are fine lines and that’s what happen to us at the minute, but in our last two games we have played a Coleraine side in good form and a Portadown team up challenging at the top half of the table.

“But we just need to galvanise ourselves and hopefully the players who are getting a chance at the minute are able to take their opportunity.”
