The Waterside men will be without Stephen Curry (shoulder), Paddy McLaughlin (ankle), Declan McKeever (holiday) and John Curran (head injury) and because of that Kee may have to possibly revert back to a traditional 4-4-2 formation instead of his 3-5-2 system which has served them so well this season.

In fact Curry, who tore ligaments in his shoulder during Friday night’s win at Warrenpoint Town, is likely to be out of action for at least three weeks.

“On Monday night at training we talked about what formation we may play against Dungannon,” he stated.

“We are looking at one or two things, we might go back to four at the back, but we’ll have to wait and see.

“Paddy is still struggling with an ankle problem and Stephen Curry will be a loss and we have these injuries, so we are going to have to work on a few things this week, but in these type of situations when players are out it gives other players an opportunity.

“We have Matty Young, who started at Dungannon in the first game of the season and he was brought into our squad for that position, but we’ll just have to wait and see how he trains on tomorrow (Thursday) night.”

In their first game back in the Premiership, the Drumahoe club fought back to earn a 2-2 draw at Stangmore Park in August thanks to Stephen O’Flynn’s brace.

Since then both sides have been in-consistent, but it’s Stute who currently sit seven points ahead of the Swifts and Kee would love to increase that gap with another positive result this weekend at Drumahoe.

“Look over the next few weeks we have the likes of Dungannon and Coleraine coming up sides, who are in and around us in the league, so we know what we are coming up against,” he added.

“By all accounts Dungannon are playing well but just haven’t been taking their chances, so they’ll be coming to Drumahoe looking to right a few wrongs, but it’s our job to ensure that doesn’t happen.”
