Institute: Ian Crown’s family says thanks

Ian Crown’s family would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support in the recent Memorial Match.

Firstly, to friends of Ian’s, Eddie McGroarty and Ronnie Henderson who were the main organisers, Hugh Gilliland for hosting the quiz night and Terry Coyle from the Icon Restaurant for providing a lovely buffet and venue for both the quiz night and after the match.

Also a huge thank you to everyone at Institute FC who supportered the family on the day.

Committee members, ground staff, Institute players along with Paul Kee, John Cunningham and Billy Carlin, all of whom made the match possible. Also a heartfelt thank you to all the players who took part in the match, all of whom knew Ian or had played with him at some stage in his football days.

Finally, the family would lke to thank everyone who attended the match or contributed in any way, including sponsors who made very generous donations.

The family was so grateful and appreciated your support in making the Memorial Match a success and such a wonderful tribute to Ian.

All proceeds from the match were donated to the Foyle Hospice last Friday and the cup has been presented to Stute in memory of Ian who was an ex-player and loyal supporter of the Drumahoe club.
