This weekend Stute entertain Armagh City in the league and boss Kevin Deery is expecting a tough encounter.

“We had them watched last week when they played Dergview and by all reports they shaded the game and were deserving of their 1-0 win,” he said.

“Shea Campbell scored the winner despite playing at right-back, but they are in a rich vein of form so we have to prepare well.”
Deery also believes that with both sides playing in mid-week he’s hoping the extra 24 hour recovery time for his side will help his players.

“While we play tonight, Armagh play Annagh tomorrow night so they will have a shorter recovery time,” he added.
“Obviously if they win they’ll be on a high but it’s still a big ask to recover and travel down from Armagh to play on a Saturday.

“However in saying that we are doing virtually the same by playing last night, nevertheless it’s all about mentality to be honest.

“Hopefully we don’t get any injuries and then start preparing for the Armagh game at training on Thursday night.”

Midfielder Shane McGinty will be available for the game after he missed this evening’s match against Dergview through suspension, but Gareth Brown again misses out.

“Gareth unfortunately has picked up a lot of bookings this season so this is what happens and he’ll be a big loss,” he said.

“He has probably led the line for us the best this season, but we have Oisin McMenamin and Stephen Mills and I’m hoping they give me a selection headache.”
