The big centre-back for the second year running was named in the First Team All-Americans Soccer Team of the year.

“So thankful to have achieved this award two years in a row,” he said.

“I could never have achieved it without all my team mates who pushed me every day to become better.

“This one is not only for me but for all of them because they equally deserve it and congrats also to my fellow Irish brother Reece Weldon on achieving his Second Team award as well.”

The Gobnascale man, who is at university in Yavapai College, returns home for the Christmas holidays and admits 2016 is a big year for him.

“Everything has been brilliant at Yavapai, my teachers, class-mates, team-mates, everything I have loved every minute of it, but I know I need to make a big decision in which University I finish my studies at,” he said.

“My plan is to think about it during my time home over the Christmas holidays and talk to my parents before making the final decision.

“I have a few options, but I have to make sure what is best for me, so that’s why I’m going to use my time back home to really think about things and hopefully have my mind made up when I go back next year.”

Logue and Weldon became the 57th and 58th soccer All-American in the school’s history and they were joined in the winner’s circle by coach Mike Pantalione.

Pantalione was named the recipient of the prestigious National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Bill Jeffrey Award and is now the most decorated coach in Junior College history.
