The Loughgall front man scored nine goals in January as the Villagers prospered in both the Championship and the Irish Cup.

A delighted Warner said, “I’m honoured to win this award. I didn’t even give it any thought so when I got the text to say I’d won I was in shock.

“I’d like to thank the Football Writers for the award, but also my team mates.

“I’ve struck up a good strike partnership with Daniel Ryan and I wouldn’t have scored anything like as many goals if it wasn’t for his runs. He deserves as much credit as me.

“I’ve just got my head down and delighted with the amount of goals we’ve scored.

“I believe Loughgall can continue to climb the Championship table. We’ve also massive Irish Cup game against PSNI on Saturday, which is a big opportunity for us to reach the quarter-finals.”
