Inver Reds gear up for Steel Cup test

Larne FC entertain Amateur League side Crumlin United in the opening round of the Paddy Power Steel and Sons Cup this afternoon.

Paul Millar’s outfit reached the last four of the competition last season and will be hoping to go one stage further this time around.

Speaking to the Larne Times this week Millar said: “We want a run in all cup competitions and it would be terrific to bring silverware to Inver Park.”

The Reds should be set to welcome back Adam Dick, Niall McAllister, Scott McNally and Marc Brown who were all unavailable for last week’s opening day draw with Banbridge Town in Championship 1.

Today’s match kicks off at 2.30pm at Inver Park while on Tuesday (August 16) evening its back to league action with a trip to face Harland and Wolff Welders (kick-off 7pm).
