The Waterside men will entertain either Tobermore United or Kilmore Rec next month and Kee will be warning his players not to let the favourites tag go to their heads.

“We will be looked at as favourites, because of Tobermore’s position in the league and Kilmore are an amateur side, but we have to go into the tie mentally right,” he stated.

“It’s a home draw which is nice, it’s good for the club.

“Playing a Championship team or an amateur league team means it could possibly be a good draw for us to hopefully progress to the quarter-finals, if we prepare properly.

“We are now one game away from reaching the last eight so it would be massive for the club if we did that, then anything can happen, so the fact that we have a home draw in the next round it’s obviously worth while that we got the win over Rathfriland.”

Kee is also hoping that ‘winning feeling’ surrounding the Drumahoe club continues for the foreseeable future and if ’Stute do face Tobermore he is already signally out striker Neil Lamont.

“We need to kick on now, we need to win every match, every game in the league is vitally important but this team now has won their last five games and that’s the mentality we have to develop and hopefully that can continue,” Kee added.

“If it’s Tobermore then they have striker in Neil Lamont who seems to love playing against us, he scores every bloody time he plays us, so we have to be aware of that.

“In fairness to Tobermore they have galvanised themselves, yes they are a Championship side and we’ll have to be respectful and if it’s Kilmore then they too will have to be respected just the same.

“Kilmore are going to be the same in fact they probably go into the replay with the upper hand because they have come back from two goals down and have the momentum.”
