Two goals apiece for Dylan Wilson and Owain Beggs helped Knockbreda ease past Annagh in the fifth-round Irish Cup clash between the two Championship One league rivals.

Annagh grabbed control after three minutes when Scott McCordick curled home a superb free-kick into the top corner.

It proved the only effort of note by Annagh against Halliday.

Wilson raced clear to equalise before Matthew Johnson put Knockbreda in front.

Wilson closed the first half with his second goal after an initial save off Jordan Hughes’ strike.

Wilson’s low cross was tucked away by Beggs around the hour mark and the latter wrapped up the scoring with an assured finish.

Knockbreda will now meet another Championship One rival, Lurgan Celtic, with a place in the quarter-finals the reward.
