IRISH CUP R6: Comrades 2 Carrick Rangers 1

Ballyclare Comrades marched into the quarter-final of the Irish Cup after a 2-1 victory over Carrick Rangers at Dixon Park this afternoon.

All the goals came in the first-half with Kyle Agnew opening the scoring on six minutes. Daniel Smith doubled the Reds’ advantage 10 minutes before the break.

Carrick’s response came courtesy of top scorer Richard Gibson on the stroke of half-time.
