Islanders out to beat Drum while Welly entertain Mac

Islandmagee will be aiming to bounce back from the disappointment of Saturday’s 2-1 Intermediate Cup defeat at home to Moneyslane when they welcome Drumaness Mills to Wilbourne Park.

Victory this weekend would see Stephen Donald’s men bag back-to-back league wins for the first time this season but it won’t be an easy task against the team currently occupying third spot in the Amateur League’s Premier Divison.

Elsewhere, Wellington Rec’s new boss, Graham McConnell, is preparing his side for the visit of Immaculata to Brookvale Park. The Mac, conquerors of Ballyclare Comrades in the Steel Cup semi-finals, may be just two places above Wellington in Division 1A, but they are six points ahead with seven games in hand.

At the other end of the table Larne Tech, fresh from a 1-1 draw at home to Rosario, entertain Orangefield Old Boys.

Davy Rollo’s Newington Rangers welcome fourth-placed Bangor Amateurs to the Knowe where his side will be going in search of their fifth Division 1C win of the campaign.
