Junior Sky Blues enjoy Christmas party

BALLYMENA United’s Junior Sky Blues Supporters’ Club held its Christmas party recently.

Joining the kids at the function, held in the Ballymena United Sports and Social Club, was injured United defender Johnny Taylor, who chose the winners in the colouring competition.

Gareth Walsh and Shea Tully were chosen, with each receiving a Ballymena United short - sponsored by Seven Towers SC and Paradise SC - as their prizes.

There were also other spot prizes given out for the different games, while main club sponsor McBurney Transport kindly supplied a beanie hat for each child.

Santa also paid a visit and each child also received a selection box, donated by Sainsbury’s, Ballymena, and a new scarf, provided by the club.

Children and their parents also had the chance to have their picture taken with the County Antrim Shield, while the event concluded with the children receiving their tickets for the Boxing Day game against Coleraine.

The party brought to a close a very successful first half year for the Junior Sky Blues, which was formed in the summer for supporters under 12 years old to come together to support the club and have the chance to enjoy football in a fun and friendly environment as well as making new friends.
