The locals got off to the best possible start when they went 1-0 up after just three minutes. MOTM candidate James Orr cracked in a shot from the edge of the area into the top corner giving the keeper no chance.

Town piled on the pressure and Ben Johnston had a decent effort saved but at the other end the Juniors keeper Jonathon Cartmill made two brilliant saves.

The Juniors never looked like conceeding after this scare, and in fact could have scored a couple more when the impressive Charles Cully, playing at right back, whipped in two delicious crosses in the space of five minutes , both falling to Shea Winters but he was unable to guide the ball home in both occasions, one with head and one on his right foot.

Reuben Turner and Cameron Frizell were composed all game with Henry Doogan and his brother William both having one of their best games in the red shirt.

Ten minutes into the second half, Town were awarded a penalty after the hard-working Tom Mehaffey was bundled over inside the area after a tremendous run and Shea Winters stepped up and cooly slotted the spot-kick away with ease for a 2-0 lead.

Reuben Turner made it three when he smashed home a trademark free-kick with 15 minutes left on the clock but Moira were awarded a free kick of their own soon after and it was fired home to make it 3-1.

Reuben Turner was denied what would have been one of the goals of the season when he spotted the keeper off his line and hit a David Beckham like shot from inside his own half but it sailed just over the bar.

The visitors keeper made a four super saves late on to deny William Doogan, Ben Johnston, Shea Winters and Owen Vennard certain goals.

Every player on the park played their part in the win, with special mention to Charles Cully, James Orr and Cameron Frizell who all put in superb shifts throughout the game.
