Kearney has already secured the services of Eugene Ferry and David McDaid since the window opened, and last week added Stephen Dooley on a short term deal. But speaking after Saturday’s victory over Ards the Bannsiders boss revealed he his hopeful of bringing in ‘one or two’ this week.

“I’m hopeful of doing another bit of business through the week, but we’re just waiting at this time to see if it comes to fruition,” he said.

“We are working hard on bringing in quality players to the club and we might be able to bring one or two more in this week.”

Derry City left back Dean Jarvis could be one of those, he has been on the Bannsiders radar for a while and is currently out of contract at the Brandywell.

Meanwhile Kearney is relishing the cup clash at Solitude.

“Form means nothing when you go into those games,” he said. “We want to put right the result from last week because the performance from the first half in particular wasn’t good enough.

“It will be a different looking Coleraine team. We are starting to get key players back and with the new signings on board hopefully we can go there and make a game of it.”
