Kee was a bit disappointed with some of their views on social media and continues to tell them that his young side is a working project.

“I said at the start of the season before a ball was kicked, there would be games that we would come unstuck in because we are trying to do the right things,” he stated.

Rome wasn’t built in a day and if everybody thinks there are going to be quick fixes, then I can tell them there isn’t.

“We are always going to be a in situation where we are a developing club, who develop players and a lot of players are still finding their feet in the Premiership.

“That’s what happened on Saturday against Glenavon, but I have learned from it and I would like to think the players have learned from it.

“But in saying that the supporters and the local people of interest need to be realistic, we have come along way in a familiar short period.

“Now our objective is to stay in the Premiership, we aren’t going to win every game, but we’ll always be working each week towards our objective and that’s getting points to stay in the Premiership.”

Kee will be taking a cautious approach when his side travel to Ballinamallard United this Saturday (KO 3pm).

The Drumahoe man feels his team selection last week against Glenavon cost his team dearly and this weekend we will be reverting back to a more solid base.

“I tried a few things against Glenavon, it didn’t work,” he conceded.

“So obviously now they’ll be changes this Saturday and we’ll looking to consolidate or position from the start and I think we’ll be better for that.”

On the plus side duo Michael McCrudden and Cormac Burke maybe available for selection, while Mark Scoltock and Aaron Walsh will be getting treatment on their knocks, which they picked up against Glenavon.

“McCrudden is close to coming back as well, he’s now getting an injection next week for his slip disc problem, he trained on Saturday and felt OK, so there might be an opportunity of him being in the squad.

“He’s going to try and train this week, so we’ll have to wait and see but we’ll monitor him.

“Burkie saw Mervyn (Kirkwood club physio) and he might train, so that will give us another forward option.”

Kee will be coming up against a team who secured their first league success of the season last weekend when they saw off high flying Ballymena United.

On the plus side this weekend Stute are not facing a side who know if they win and go top of the league, something which has been the case in recent weeks.

“We seemed to be playing teams this last while who are going back to the bloody top of the Premiership, so people have to realise that we are playing teams who are in form.”
