Keeper Mitchell signs pro contract

Mitchell, who has been at the Championship high flyers since 2012, has been a regular fixture in their youth teams and the club are keen to retain his services.

Meanwhile, Mitchell has been called up to the Northern Ireland U19 squad for a friendly double-header against Switzerland next month. This is his his first call-up at the under-19 level.

He will be joined in the squad by regular and Burnley last year’s youth team player of the year Dummigan. Northern Ireland U19s will face Switzerland at the Oval on Tuesday, 4 March. Two days later, they will take on the Swiss at Stangmore Park in Dungannon.
