Kennedy captains NI to victory
Lisburn lad Ben Kennedy led by example as he captained Northern Ireland U19s to a victorious start in their European qualifiers.
The Stevenage star got himself on the score-sheet in Thursday’s 2-1 victory over Norway. He also won a penalty but missed it.
Kennedy’s side will take on hosts Russia tomorrow and Slovakia on Sunday as they aim to make it through to the Elite Round of the qualifying campaign.

Just eight teams will contest next year’s finals, which double up as the qualifiers for the FIFA U20 World Cup.
