Kids have a ball at ‘Slane’s annual Summer Camp

All roads led to Jubilee Park last Thursday, Friday and Saturday as the annual Summer Camp event took place at Moneyslane’s new sports complex in the heart of the village.

With over 90 kids coming along for fun and games each night and even their parents getting in on the action every night and all day Saturday this was an event not to be forgotten.

Every kid that came along received a free football from the club for their achievements over the three day event and Moneyslane would like to thank the Beautiful Game in Lurgan for their assistance in the purchase of the balls.

Thanks goes to everyone that helped out over the past few days.

On Saturday everyone was treated to a fantastic barbecue supplied by one of the club’s sponsors, Raymond McCullough Butchers, Rathfriland.

The kids also were treated to face painting by coach Leanne Moore and they also had bouncy castles, gladiator podiums and bronco bull that everyone enjoyed including parents. Thanks to Howard Turtle, Newtownards.

Special thanks to Keith Gibson from the IFA Games Development Centre, Banbridge/Craigavon who came along on Friday night to provide a master class session for all the kids in the different age groups.
