Kids to the ‘four’ in Mini Soccer League action

LAST Thursday was the P4 Section of the Ballymena Invitational Mini Soccer League held on the 3g facility at Ballymena Showgrounds.

Eleven 7-a-side teams from Carniny Youth, Ballymena Youth Academy, Kells & Connor Cougars, Antrim Rovers, Star Utd and Northend Utd took part in the two hour festival of football enjoyed by children, coaches and parents alike.

Due to other events being held at the popular Showgrounds venue the next session will be the P5 age group also on the 3g on Saturday 2nd June, 2012 at 2pm.

All teams intending to enter this age group should contact fixtures secretary Stanley Galbraith by Thursday 24th May, 2012 if they wish to take part.

This season’s competition has been a tremendous success enhanced by the support of McDonalds and the Irish Football Association and continues to go from strength to strength. The next age groups will be the P6 and P7 school years in mid/late June.
