Killymurris keep up 'double' chase

The Glarryford side made it into the semi-finals of the Knockout competition with a comfortable 48-21 home win over Grange.

The tie was as good as over by the interval, by which stage Killymurris were already 26 shots to the good and although the second half was much closer, the Taylorstown side never threatened to overturn the first half deficit.

Back on league duty, Buckna look as though they can at least delay Glarryford being crowned champions.

The Braid team have closed the gap on Killymurris to just six points - the closest it has been for some months - after taking full points from last week's meeting with Harryville Men's Fellowship.

Interestingly, Buckna have a game in hand which could potentially take them to just a point behind Glarryford but it seems unlikely that Killymurris will relinquish their season-long grip on the title at this late stage.

Clough 'A's hopes of finishing second were dealt a blow when they dropped two points on their home mats against lowly Cuningham 'B' and indeed Clough were thankful to Nigel Wasson's rink, who had a 24-3 win over Paul Baird, for securing the point for the overall shots total.
