Larne to face Carrick in Irish Cup

Larne will host rivals Carrick Rangers in the fifth round of the Irish Cup.

The draw, made this morning in Belfast, pits the in-form Inver Reds against the Steel Cup finalists.

The two teams last met in the league in August when Carrick emerged as 2-1 winners at Taylor’s Avenue.

Speaking to compere Jackie Fullerton at the draw, Rangers boss Gary Haveron said: “There will be no extra motivation needed for the players. It is a game that sells itself.”

The tie is sheduled to be played on January 10 at Inver Park.
