Despite making several changes to his starting line-up Owens side never looked like losing the game.

Cathair Friel with his 22nd of the season and Andy Devlin’s first for the club ensure the silverware went back over the mountain.

United hit the front in the 7th minute, Corey McMullan picked out the run of Friel who outpaced several Coleraine defenders before slipping the ball between keeper Andy Finlay’s legs.

They doubled their lead 12 minutes later; Blain Morrison’s corner fell to the feet of Devlin who curled an effort into the top corner of Finlay’s goal.

In the 32nd Friel almost made it three but he just failed to connect to a wonderful cross from Corey McMullan.

The closet Coleraine came in the first half was an audacious chip from Garth Falconer from 40 yards that Devlin headed off the line.

Limavady should have added a third in the 73rd minute but Hugh Carlin somehow fired over from close range after Devlin had nodded Morrison’s free-kick back across goal.

The Bannsiders best chance of the second half ironically also fell to Faulkner who crashed a shot off the bar but in truth it was always Limavady’s night.
