The home side gave a good account of their desire and work rate and frustrated the visitors for most of the match without ever threatening to win the game.

Lisahally took the lead right on the stroke of half-time when Shaun Whorskey blasted his shot in of the underside of the crossbar.

The goal didn’t effect the astyle of the game as Lisahally had the lions share but shot from distance and overhit crosses and when they did penetrate they where met by a solid unit of Ferris, Tommy O’Kane, Gerdy o’Kane, Tommy Mullan and Harbinson.

With three minutes remaining a crazy 30 seconds sealed the result.

Rovers Brendan McGonigle did brilliantly popping up inside the box, but his super low cross flash acrossed the six yard box and as Lisahally cleared their lines Petie Doherty raced cleared and calmly chipped Ferris to make it 2-0.

Rovers can take great pride in their attitude and hard to beat performance.
