A Lisburn Ladies FC representative commented: ‘‘Working closely with the BSA Management over the last few months it was clear to see that the drive, forward thinking and exciting plans they have in place for the Bluebell Sports Complex matched our own clubs’ ambitions of bringing top level women’s football to Lisburn City.

‘‘As a club we couldn’t have asked for a better agreement for our senior team than the one BSA has been able to put in place.

‘‘The agreement will also see the complex becoming the clubs official training base for both our seniors and Swifts squads.’’

The Lisburn Ladies FC representative added that the partnership will allow the club access to exciting new facilities which are ‘‘essential’’ for competing at the top level here.

‘‘This newly-opened state of the art facility which boasts the latest 3G football pitch and floodlights is exactly what we have been looking for, as not only does it give our seniors a home venue based within Lisburn City, but the high standard of the complex meets all NIWFA / NIFL Women’s Football ground criteria which is required for clubs who want to compete at the top level here in Northern Ireland.
