Lisburn League U13s secure top four finish
The juniors started the game determined to finish on a high and went into an early lead after McCandless finished off a superb move including Fearon and Devlin down the right wing.
Ballymena always looked dangerous on the break and it was a long ball over the top that caught out the town and gave Ballymena their equaliser just before half time.

But Ballymena somehow managed to shock the Juniors with two goals in five minutes and take an undeserved 3-2 lead with only minutes remaining.
With all hands to the pump Burke managed to earn a free-kick on the right wing. McAtamney’s low inswinger was nudged in at the front post by the ever reliable Mark Burke to salvage the draw.
This result brings to a conclusion a tough season for the Juniors. A top six finish in the league was not the aim at the start of the season. But the team did prove that on their day they were a match for any team in the league and will be looking for much more consistency next season.
