Lisburn started the game slowly but eventually began to play the football they are known for late in the first half. Thomas McComb broke forward from centre back and crossed from near the right side corner flag for Lorcan McIlroy to tap in at the back post.

The second half was a different story. Lisburn started quickly and swarmed all over the North End players. This quick, aggressive play led to Lisburn’s second goal when they won a free kick in the centre circle, the other centre back Lewis Smylie took it quickly, catching North End on their heels and Conall Smyth ran through to dink the ball over the keeper into the net.

Substitute Ross Hull also made a big difference as he finished off a sweeping counter attack move. The striker then set up Smyth for the next goal and Hull then made it five with another classy finish.

Next game is against Ballyclare at Suffolk on Saturday.
