Liverpool boss Rodgers kits out his local team

He may be one of the best young managers in the Premiership but last year Brendan Rodgers proved he hadn’t forgotten his roots in Carnlough.

Just a couple of months after steering Swansea to the top flight, he donated the cash to buy junior club Carnlough Swifts new home and away kits, carrying the logo of Marie Curie Cancer Care.

His brother Declan was on hand to present the kits to club officials Gary Morgan and Martin McKinley.
