Low down on Lincoln Courts

LINCOLN Courts manager Steven Nicholl gives his low down on his squad, which face Immaculata in Friday night's Coca/Cola Irish Junior Cup Final.

Lee Simpson (Goalkeeper) - The former Glendermott FC is in his first season with the senior squad and his confidence is growing with every game. A very agile young keeper who has played a big part in his team reaching the final.

Scott Thomas (Defender) - The teenager has been knocking on the door of the first team and got his chance this year with a full season under his belt. He has been excellent all year and all at the club have been very impressed with his commitment and his attitude. A great young full back with a bright future.

Dean Cooke (Defender) - The 26 years old has had his best season at Lincoln to date. He is a great club and team man and gives 100 per cent in every game. A very well rounded player who is good in both the air and on the ground. An excellent distributor of the ball and in both open play and set pieces.

Trevor McDermott (Defender) - Trevor is the rock in Lincoln's defence, he has everything from strength, pace and skill. Not too many have had the upper hand on this lad all season and when in top form he is every striker's nightmare. Powerful in the air and strong in the tackle, making him a delight to watch.

Steven McIntyre (Defender) - The ex-Eglinton defender joined at the start of the year as a midfielder and is now playing in defence. After an injury hit start he soon settled in and put in some fine performances and gained a lot of respect from his teammates. He has had an excellent season and showed great commitment and effort this year.

Darren Street (Defender) - Darren is another loyal servant to the club. This lad can play virtually anywhere on the pitch. He has played mostly at centre back this season and his all round game is excellent. A very tidy player who can read the game well.

Raymond Campbell (Defender) - Raymond is a very skillful defender with a lot of pace. He has played some big games for the club this year and has never disappointed. He has bags of talent and great ability. He will play a big part in the club's future.

Billy Hutchman (Midfielder) - The 32 year old, formerly of Irish Street FC is a very hard worker on the pitch and in training. He does a lot of running and chasing down the ball. On the ball he has the ability to start things moving with his vision and ability to spread passes to all areas of the pitch. Plays with a lot of heart and determination.

Kolyn Patterson (Midfielder) - Kolyn is the Lincoln Courts FC skipper and leads by example. On form and injury free he is one of the best players in North West football. His touch, vision and creativity in the midfield is admirable.

Stephen Mooney (Midfielder) - The 26 years old, formerly of Glendermott FC, has had a great season this year and has been very productive down either flank. He is a very fast winger who has the ability to pass any defence with ease. His pace and consistency have been essential to Lincoln's success this year.

Richard Adams (Midfielder) - Richard is a long serving and well respected lad at the club and has had a great year so far. A very fit lad who never shies away on the pitch. He has put one hundred per cent effort into every game this season. A talented lad with great attitude.

Lee Laverty (Midfielder) - The 18-year-old is a utility player with several positions in his locker. He can play full-back and both sides of the wing. A very skilful young player who has earned the respect of the senior players with his pace and skill down the left side of midfield.

Lee Lynch (Midfielder) - The former Killen Rangers man joined Lincoln Courts at the start of the season playing with the Reserves and soon grabbed the attention of the first team manager Steve Nicholl. This lad has all the club talking about him. Very strong tackler and ball winner with a lot of pace. A keen eye for a pass and runs with the ball very well. A great asset to the club.

Gordon Murrey (Midfielder) - The 35-year-old former Glendermott man is another in his first year with the club. The big midfielder is a very steady player in the team. This lad keeps it simple and spreads the ball around with ease. He is a consistent performer and has had a great first season.

Mark Hamilton (Striker) - The ex-BBOB frontman is the club's top scorer this season with over 30 goals in all competitions. He has nine in the Irish Junior Cup to date including two hat-tricks. He is a natural striker with great skill and touch. A very talented lad and potential match winner whose goals will be vital on the day.

Jason Hay (Striker) - The 29-year-old has had an injury hit season, but when fit will always make the starting line-up. He has gotten on the score-sheet in the quarter-final and semi-final ties. Great holder and passer of the ball and is excellent in the air.
