Lurgan allow two goal lead slip away

Lurgan BBOB Youth 2

Celtic Club (Lurgan No. 1) 3

Lurgan BBOB Youth hosted Celtic Club (Lurgan No. 1) Under 18s in a cracking league match that was a game of the two halves as BBOB raced into a deserved 2-0 lead before Celtic hit back to steal a 3-2 victory.

BBOB Youth started brightly, with debutant Alex Richardson particularly shining in central midfield as the hosts played some fine football. It was no surprise BBOB gained a 2-0 lead by half-time with the in form John Uprichard scoring his fourth goal in five games and Richardson also rewarded by getting his name on the score sheet.

The second half saw BBOB run out of steam allowing Celtic to dictate the play. Celtic pulled a goal back as BBOB were warned that their supremacy was threatened, with home goalkeeper Michael Greenaway also having to make at least one outstanding save. Although BBOB worked hard to deny their opponents eventually Celtic drew level and just as the match seemed to be heading for probably a fair draw Celtic stole the full points with a late strike to secure a 3-2 victory.
