Madden doubtful for Dundalk match

DERRY City manager Declan Devine is hoping his side can continue their recent good form into tomorrow (Friday) night’s Airtricity Premier Division clash with Dundalk (KO 7.45pm)

The Brandywell men, who drew at leaders Sligo Rovers last week, followed that up with an outstanding 3-0 win at Shamrock Rovers in the Setanta Sports Cup semi-final first leg tie on Monday, have injury doubts over Simon Madden Stephen McLaughlin and Owen Morrison, while Rory Patterson and Stewart Greacen still remain on the treatment table.

On the plus side both Ruaidhri Higgins and Shane McEleney started jogging on Wednesday and although tomorrow evening’s clash may have come too soon for the duo, they might be available for Monday night’s Setanta Sports Cup second leg encounter against Stephen Kenny’s side.

Boss Devine talks to Sentinel Sport’s Editor Kevin McLaughlin ahead of the Dundalk match.
