Ballinamallard 1

This proved a very exciting game and a hard fought match in which the Blues just couldn’t get the goals in the first half.

How the Blues failed to score in the opening half was due to a mixture of poor finishing and a string of great saved by the ‘keeper. The Blues’ chances came from Caolan McGlone, Scott Bradley, Tom Quinn and James Capell.

The second half started off with two fine saves from Odhran Crozier as the visitors began to take control of matters.

The Blues found themselves defending deeper and deeper and the inevitable happened. Ballinamallard got their goal from a corner with a stunning drive from twelve yards which flew into net.

The Blues pushed and pushed just couldn’t get the equaliser and it definitely was a game of blood, sweat and tears. All the boys played very well and played out of their socks but it was not to be for the hosts.

Man of the match went too Odhran Crozier for fine display in nets in the second half.

MSB: Odhran Crozier, Curtis Neill, Caolan McGlone, Jack Spillane, Isaac Nelson, Tom Quinn, James Capell, Travis Harkness, Scott Bradley, Tiernan Rocks, Chris Mallon, Isaac McGammon, Luke Cunningham
