Manager delighted with under 15 double

In particular, highlights were the Under 12s who won the North West Cup and Under 15's whose historic season saw them bring the North West and Coleraine District Youth League and Cup double to Drumahoe for the first time.

For Under 15 coach Dean McMonagle it's been a season of massive achievement for his boys.

"To win the league and cup double at any level and in any league is a huge achievement and it's one those lads richly deserve.

"We stuttered at the start of the season but from there went on an unbelievable run of 18 victories from 21 games to deservedly pick up the two trophies."

The delighted Drumahoe man continued: "I'm just so pleased and proud of the boys because they've put so much into the season.

"They've been so eager and willing to learn in training and have grown up together to strike up an unbelievably tight bond where every one of them are so keen to win, not only for themselves individually, but collectively.

"Most of this squad have been together for two or three years and this season has seen the culmination of that time together, the work they've put in and the combined development they've enjoyed.

"The bond between them is incredible, it really is and they really are a credit to this club, their families and most of all themselves."

Commenting on the future for the lads, the 27 year old said: "Its been a great season for the boys, they've given me and the other coaches everything asked of them and in return they've got everything they deserved out of the season.

"I hope that this gives them the platform to build successful careers for themselves whether that be in the Irish League with Institute or further afield if they are given the right opportunities. I'm so honoured to work with them and so proud of their achievements," concluded the coach.
