Mawhinney and Paisley on target in win

FC Larne got back into winning ways on Saturday with a 2-0 home victory over Moyola Park Olympic - the current Ballymena and Provincial Junior Division Two league leaders.

Chances came and went for both teams in a competitive first 45 minutes but no goals were scored before half-time.

Things then changed on the 66th minute when Philip Mawhinney opened the scoring for Larne. The Sandy Bay men doubled their advantage in the 72nd minute when Stuart Paisley netted to help secure all three points.

It was only the fourth league win of the season for FC Larne who will be aiming to make it back-to-back successes when they host FC Whiteabbey on Saturday.
