The West Brom defender is pictured with Southampton’s Steven Davis and Norwich City striker Kyle Lafferty in the adidas strip which goes back to a traditional green colour.

The shirt design also includes the latest in adidas innovation technologies such as ClimaCool and a new mesh fit, designed to ensure the players have the most technologically advanced kit ever made.

The Northern Ireland team will wear the kit in tomorrow night’s Euro 2016 Qualifier against Romania but fans will have to wait until December 9 to get their hands on it.

However, it is available to pre-order now from the Irish Football Association’s exclusive Retail Partner JD Sports, instore and online at jdsports.co.uk/northernireland.

Irish Football Association Commercial Manager, Tracey Campbell said: “We are excited to see the home kit return to a classic design with the green and white themed home shirt that means so much to our players and our fans.

“By working with adidas we are ensuring that the new kit provides the best in design and performance innovation. Our teams are looking forward to wearing the new design across an exciting year of fixtures, starting with tomorrow night’s UEFA Euro 2016 Qualifier against Romania.”

McAuley is expected to add to his 50 caps for his country in Friday’s clash in Bucharest (7:45 pm kick-off).
