McCourt signs for Barnsley
FORMER Derry City winger Paddy McCourt has agreed a deal with Championship side Barnsley, until the end of the season.
The Northern Ireland international, who has been linked with LA Galaxy, Peterborough United, Hibernian and San Jose Earthquakes since his departure from Celtic, could make his debut against Blackburn Rovers, on Saturday.
McCourt 29, left the Hoops in the summer after 66 league appearances in five seasons and he is a former team-mate of Barnsley manager David Flitcroft, the pair having played together at Rochdale.
