McDonald passes on best wishes to Northern Ireland squad
Alderman Stewart McDonald had the pleasure of welcoming Ballymena man O’Neill and team captain Steven Davis, from Cullybackey, to a special civic reception earlier this year, marking their achievement in helping the squad to qualify for France.
Now, on the eve of Northern Ireland’s first appearance in a major tournament finals for 30 years, the TUV representative has passed on his best wishes to the local men and their colleagues within the squad.

Hide AdHe wrote: “I am writing to wish you all well for the European Championships and your preparations ahead of the opening game against Poland.
“Whatever the results turn out to be, you have done our wee country proud and you will all go down in history as having achieved spectacular success in qualifying for France 2016.
“I will be cheering you on at every game as will my constituents in Bannside (Mid and East Antrim Borough Council),” added Alderman McDonald, who signed off by using the #DaretoDream hashtag
